3 Driver Software Installation – MS-DOS
may now proceed to initialize the Controller by loading
the driver software.
3.1.2 Loading the Driver Software
You may load the AVM Mobile ISDN-Controller M2
with or without using PCMCIA Card and Socket Services.
Please note that an Intel-compatible PC Card Interface
Controller (PCIC) is required to operate the AVM Mobile
ISDN-Controller M2 without Card and Socket Services.
Furthermore, without Card and Socket Services the AVM
Mobile ISDN-Controller M2 can only use the I/O address
150h. Make sure no other hardware components are
using this resource.
To begin using the AVM Mobile ISDN-Controller M2,
you must load its driver. Change to the driver software
installation directory (default: \IDRIVER) and enter the
following command at the DOS prompt:
ibase <Return>
This command initializes the controller and loads the
CAPI driver and the controller software for the D channel
protocol you specified during the installation (DSS1,
1TR6 or GSM). If these operations are carried out
successfully, the following message is displayed on the
screen:
M2ENABLE: Slot x installed with port y and interrupt z.
