5 Troubleshooting – Windows NT
Instructions can be found in Chapter 3, “Driver Software
Installation”, Section 3.3.6 or 3.4.6.
Passive and active Controllers installed simultaneously
You tried to install a passive ISDN-Controller (such as the
AVM ISDN-Controller PCMCIA A) in the same system
as your active AVM Mobile ISDN-Controller M2. You
cannot alternate between active and passive ISDN-
Controllers in the same system.
5.3.4 Error Messages in Windows NT
Controller-xx with I/O address <xxx> not found
Possible cause: The I/O address you selected for the
AVM Mobile ISDN-Controller M2 during installation is
already being used by another hardware component, or
the card is not present.
Remedy: Ascertain which I/O addresses are available in
your computer. Then start the program M2 Setup. Click
on Continue, then enter an available I/O address. Click
on Continue again until you reach the “Information”
message. Click on OK to confirm and restart Windows
NT. Make sure that the AVM Mobile ISDN-Controller
M2 is inserted correctly in your computer’s PCMCIA slot
before starting Windows NT.
Installation Error. Interrupt <xx> not available.
Possible cause: The interrupt (IRQ) level you selected
for the AVM Mobile ISDN-Controller M2 during
installation is already being used by another hardware
component, or the card is not present.
Remedy: Ascertain which interrupts are available in your
computer. Then start the program M2 Setup. Click on
Continue twice, then enter an available interrupt level.
Click on Continue again until you reach the “Information”
message. Click on OK to confirm and restart Windows
NT. Make sure that the AVM Mobile ISDN-Controller
M2 is inserted correctly in your computer’s PCMCIA slot
before starting Windows NT.
