5 Troubleshooting – MS-DOS
installation information in INF files named OEM*.inf. Open
these INF files in Notepad by double-clicking on them, and
find the one that refers to the AVM Mobile ISDN-
Controller M2. This file is from an earlier installation.
Note the exact name of this file in the title bar, then close
it and delete it.
Do not delete other manufacturers’ OEM.inf files!
Now restart your computer and perform the installation
according to the instructions in Chapter 3.
If the trouble persists, contact AVM Support (fax: +49-30-
399 76 266).
5.3 Error Messages
5.3.1 Error Messages in DOS
Controller xx with I/O address <xxx> not found
Possible cause: You tried to initialize the AVM Mobile
ISDN-Controller M2 without Card and Socket Services,
and in the configuration program m2pcmset.exe you
entered an I/O address other than 150. Please note that
the AVM Mobile ISDN-Controller M2 is configured
only to I/O address 150 when used without Card and
Socket Services.
Remedy: Run the program m2pcmset.exe and set the
I/O address to 150. Then run ibase.bat to reload the
Controller.
Installation Error. Interrupt <xx> not available.
Possible cause: The selected interrupt is not available.
Remedy: Run the program m2pcmset.exe and set the
interrupt (IRQ) level to a different value. Then run ibase.bat
to reload the Controller.
Card Services not installed.
Cause: PCMCIA Card Services are not installed in your
computer, and the loading program m2enable.exe was
run without the option “-h”. This option must be specified
