FRITZ!vox / FRITZ!fon
The mobile phone cannot transmit voice signals through
its data interface. For this reason, the modules FRITZ!vox
and FRITZ!fon cannot be used with the AVM Mobile
ISDN-Controller M2 in GSM operation.
AVM ISDN CAPI Port Driver
After you have installed FRITZ!GSM, three virtual modems
are available for use in the GSM network: AVM ISDN
Analog Modem, AVM ISDN Custom Config and AVM
ISDN Fax (G3).
AVM ISDN Analog Modem allows you to connect to
analog dial-in ports. AVM ISDN Custom Config can be
used to reach remote systems, such as Internet service
providers’ dial-in routers, that support the V.110 protocol.
V.110 permits a significantly quicker call set-up. Ask your
Internet service provider whether V.110 dial-in ports are
available.
To connect to an ISDN dial-in port using the V.110
protocol, you must select the modem “AVM ISDN Custom
Config”. This modem can be configured manually for
V.110 as follows:
1. Double-click on the Modems icon in the Control
Panel.
2. Select “AVM ISDN Custom Config” in the modem list.
