3 Driver Software Installation – Windows 95
English
Please note that there are minor differences in the Setup
dialogs between the Windows 95A and 95B versions. The
following description is based on Windows 95A.
The Common ISDN API 2.0 driver supplied supports both
Windows and DOS applications, simultaneously.
3.3.1 Installing the Driver Software
To install the ISDN-Controller software in Windows 95,
proceed as follows:
1. Restart Windows 95.
2. Then insert the AVM Mobile ISDN-Controller M2
in your computer’s PCMCIA slot.
Windows 95’s Plug&Play mechanism detects the
new card and Windows builds a driver information
database.
Then the window „New Hardware Found“ appears.
If you do not hear an audible signal and the “New
Hardware Found” message does not appear, activate
PC-Card (PCMCIA) support in the Windows 95 Control
Panel and repeat Step 2. If the message still does not
appear, please see Chapter 5.
If you have already installed an earlier version of the
AVM Mobile ISDN-Controller M2 driver in Windows
95, the “New Hardware Found” message does not
appear. To install an updated version of the driver,
simply start the Setup program on the CD-ROM, then
continue with Step 7 below.
3. Now insert the CD-ROM labeled “AVM Mobile ISDN-
Controller M1/M2” in your CD-ROM drive.
4. Select the option “Driver from disk provided by
hardware manufacturer” in the “New Hardware Found”
window, and click on OK.
5. Enter the drive letter of your CD-ROM drive and click
on Browse.
