3 Driver Software Installation – Windows 95
3.2.4 Changing the D Channel Protocol
To change the D channel protocol, first unload the
Controller software by running the program M2 Unload
in the “AVM” program group.
Then connect the desired cable (ISDN or GSM) to the
Controller. Finally, run the M2 Load program for the
desired D channel protocol, such as M2 Load GSM.
To change the default D channel protocol that is
automatically loaded, repeat the installation procedure
by starting the Setup program on the original CD-ROM.
Select the option “Installation”, then choose the desired
D channel protocol.
3.2.5 Installing CAPI Applications
After you have installed and started the ISDN-Controller,
you can install the CAPI applications you want to use with
the Controller. The ISDN communications suite FRITZ!,
for example, with program modules for file transfer,
telefax and more, is included with your AVM Mobile
ISDN-Controller M2.
3.2.6 Uninstalling the Driver Software
To undo the installation of the AVM Mobile ISDN-
Controller M2 for Windows 3.x, start the installation
program setup.exe from the installation disk.
Setup reports that an installed ISDN-Controller was
detected. Select the option “Deinstallation” and follow
the program’s instructions. You must also remove the
m2enable command from your autoexec.bat file.
3.3 Windows 95 Installation
Specially developed Windows 95 driver software is
supplied with the AVM Mobile ISDN-Controller M2.
This true 32-bit virtual device driver (VxD) provides full
support for all features of Microsoft Windows 95.
