2.2 Handling the AVM Mobile
ISDN-Controller M1
Inserting the AVM Mobile ISDN-Controller M1 in the
PCMCIA slot is simple. The asymmetric shape of the
connectors makes it impossible to insert it the wrong
way.
Choose the cable that fits your cellular phone. Plug the
smaller connector into the socket on the end of the PC
card (the opposite end from the contact strip).
Make sure that the triangular marking on the connector
points to the top side of the card.
Now insert the contact strip end of the AVM Mobile
ISDN-Controller M1 card into the PCMCIA slot of your
computer and slide the card in until it is secure.
Then connect the other end of the cable to the socket of
your GSM cellphone. That’s it!
To remove the card again, use the eject button next to the
PCMCIA slot.
Never try to pull the PCMCIA card out by the cable or
connector!
Avoid contaminating or damaging the contact strip of the
card, as this may affect data transmission adversely.
