3 Installation of the Driver Software – Windows NT
3.5.2 Loading the Driver Software
In order for you to use the Controller, its driver software
must be loaded. The driver is loaded upon completion of
the installation procedure. The CAPI 2.0 interface is
available to applications only when the Controller is
loaded.
By default, the AVM Mobile ISDN-Controller M2 is
loaded automatically when you start Windows NT. Loading
takes place before programs in the Startup group are
started, so that you can use the Startup group to run CAPI
applications automatically. You can also deactivate the
automatic loading function (see Section 3.5.4 below).
The Controller must be inserted in your computer’s PCMCIA
slot in order for its driver software to be loaded correctly.
To load the Mobile ISDN-Controller manually, run the
program Mobile M1 Load in the AVM folder, under
“Programs” in the Windows NT Start menu.
Once the Controller has been successfully loaded, the
following window appears:
