(“ibase”, space, minus sign) at the DOS prompt. The
program displays a message to acknowledge that the
driver has been removed.
You may now remove the AVM Mobile ISDN-Controller
M1 from your computer’s PCMCIA slot.
3.1.4 Installation of CAPI Applications
After you have installed and loaded the Mobile ISDN-
Controller, you can install the CAPI applications to be
used with the Controller. The ISDN file transfer program
Connect2, for example, is included with your AVM
Mobile ISDN-Controller M1.
3.1.5 Uninstalling the Driver Software
To undo the installation of the AVM Mobile ISDN-
Controller M1 for DOS, first remove the driver from
memory by entering the command
ibase – <Return>
Then use the DOS commands del and rmdir to delete the
driver software and the installation directory. If you have
added the command IBASE.BAT to your AUTOEXEC.BAT
file, this must be removed as well.
3.2 Windows 3.x Installation
Specially developed driver software for Microsoft Win-
dows 3.x is supplied with the AVM Mobile ISDN-
Controller M1. This true 32-bit virtual device driver
(VxD) takes advantage of Windows’ Protected Mode. No
memory-resident drivers need to be loaded in DOS
before Windows is started.
The Common ISDN API 2.0 driver for Windows supports
both Windows and DOS applications simultaneously. This
CAPI version can also be used with existing data
applications designed for CAPI 1.1.
