3 Installation of the Driver Software – MS-DOS
English
Please note that an Intel-compatible PC Card Interface
Controller (PCIC) is required to operate the AVM Mobile
ISDN-Controller M1 without Card and Socket Services. In
addition, the I/O address 150h and the interrupt level IRQ
5 must be available for the AVM Mobile ISDN-Controller
M1. Make sure that no other hardware components are
using these resources.
To activate the Controller, i.e. to load its driver, change
to the driver software installation directory (default:
\IDRIVER) and enter the command
ibase <Return>
at the DOS prompt.
This command initializes the controller and loads the
CAPI driver. If these operations are carried out success-
fully, the following message is displayed on the screen:
MENABLE: Slot x installed with Port y and IRQ z.

You may now begin working with your CAPI applications.
The AVM Mobile ISDN-Controller M1’s resident driver,
with the D-channel protocol software and the CAPI
interface, occupies about 25 KB of your computer’s
memory.
To load the driver for the AVM Mobile ISDN-Controller M1
automatically each time you start the computer, add the
command ibase to your AUTOEXEC.BAT file. Include the
path name of the driver software installation directory
where the file IBASE.BAT is found.
