7 Technical Summary

This chapter contains a summary of the ISDN-Controller C4’s

features and technical specifications.

7.1 Connector Pin Assignments

The ISDN-Controller C4 is connected to the ISDN S

interface

by an RJ45 plug. The following table shows the pin assign-

ments of this connector.

7.2 The AVM ISDN-Controller C4 on Point-

to-Point ISDN Lines

By default, the AVM ISDN-Controller C4 is installed with set-

tings for BRI lines in point-to-multipoint configuration. Howe-

ver, it also can be operated with point-to-point lines (also

called Direct Dial-In or DDI lines).

When using the ISDN-Controller C4 on point-to-point BRIs,

please observe the following guidelines:

l Only one terminal device can be connected to a point-

to-point BRI.
