5 Driver Software Installation
in Novell NetWare
Two different drivers are provided for installation in Novell
NetWare 4.11 or higher: a stand-alone CAPI and a version for
Novell CAPI Manager. If you would like to use Novell’s CAPI
Manager, make sure that CAPI Manager is installed before
beginning installation of the AVM ISDN-Controller C4. Also be
sure to observe the differences in the installation, configura-
tion and removal procedures for the two drivers.
5.1 Preparing the System
Before the driver software installation begins, the server
must be started and the CD-ROM drive mounted. If this is not
the case, proceed as follows:
l To start the server, enter the following commands at the
DOS prompt:
cd nwserver
server
l To verify whether the CD-ROM drive is installed, insert
the CD and enter the following command at the system
console:
volume
All mounted volumes are listed. If the volume label of
the CD does not appear in the list, enter the following
command at the system console:
cdrom
