The drivers for the D-channel protocols DSS1 and 1TR6 used
in Germany are provided as standard. The drivers for the oth-
er protocols can be installed from the respective folders on
the installation CD-ROM.
Protocols supported by the driver software on the B-chan-
nels include the common data communication protocols
X.75, HDLC transparent, Fax G3 and others. For more techni-
cal information, see the chapter “Technical Data and Fea-
tures” beginning on page 45.
CAPI
The AVM ISDN-Controller A1 PCMCIA driver's software pro-
vides the CAPI 2.0 application interface (see “The Applica-
tions Interface CAPI 2.0” beginning on page 37). This inter-
face, adopted by the international standardization body,
ETSI, guarantees the universal compatibility of ISDN applica-
tions for data, fax and voice communications. The drivers de-
livered with the ISDN-Controller also support applications
based on CAPI 1.1.
The controller software for AVM passive ISDN-Controllers cor-
responds to the ISDN Driver Model (IDM). For more informa-
tion about IDM architecture, see the chapter “IDM Architec-
ture” on page 40.
Operating Systems Supported
The AVM ISDN-Controller A1 PCMCIA is available for the fol-
lowing operating systems: Windows 2000, Windows 98,
Windows 95, Windows NT and Windows 3.x.
