48 Controller A1 PCMCIA 10 Troubleshooting
l
Is the network terminator (NT) installed correctly? Some
network terminators must be connected to the power
supply system.
l When installing the application software to an exten-
sion, did you remember to include the prefix for exter-
nal dialing (usually 0)?
l Are all required services (data transmission) available
and enabled on your extension?
l Have you configured the correct D-channel protocol for
your ISDN line?
Problems during controller A1 PCMCIA operations:
Should problems occur during controller A1 PCMCIA opera-
tion, start the A1 PCMCIA Test program located in the
AVM program group or in the installation directory of the
driver software. This test program checks the functionality of
individual hardware components of the controller A1 PCMCIA
and returns corresponding messages.
If the ISDN-Controller test using A1 PCMCIA Test confirms
that the hardware is functioning properly, establish a test
connection to the AVM Data Call Center. You can, for exam-
ple, use the Connect32 program included in the AVM ISDN-
Tools. The number of the ADC is: +49 (0) 30 / 39 98 43 00.
After running the A1 PCMCIA Test program, CAPI is no
longer available (error message: COMMON-ISDN-API
Version 2.0 is not installed).
Load the AVM ISDN-Controller A1 PCMCIA again by restarting
your computer.
Connections to analog dial-in ports using Connect32 or
FRITZ!com.
Your AVM ISDN-Controller can establish connections to ISDN
terminal equipment. In Windows, connections can also be
established to analog terminal equipment, e.g. G3 fax ma-
chines or modems. Check the settings in your applications.
