messages and offers tips on correcting such errors. The error

10.1 General Malfunctions
The AVM ISDN-Controller A1 PCMCIA is not detected or not
initialized.
l Have you installed new hardware or changed the confi-
guration of the existing hardware?
If so, check for any conflicts in the assignment of PC re-
sources (interrupt, I/O address). To do this, you can e.g.
use the MSD.EXE program. In Windows 95/98, used the
Device Manager (Start / Settings / Control Panel / Sys-
tem) and in Windows NT, use the Windows NT diagno-
sis program from the Administration program group.
l Have you made any changes to the computers BIOS
setup?
l Have you changed the configuration of your computer
(e.g. boot menus, memory manager, etc.)?
You cannot establish an ISDN connection.
If you cannot establish a connection, despite correct installa-
tion of the AVM ISDN-Controller A1 PCMCIA, check the follow-
ing points:
l Is the ISDN-Controller inserted firmly in the computers
PCMCIA slot?
l Is the ISDN connecting cable plugged firmly into the
AVM ISDN-Controller? Is the cable connected with an
ISDN socket?
l Check whether your ISDN socket is functioning proper-
ly, e.g. by connecting an ISDN telephone.
