8.5 CAPI SoftFax
The CAPI SoftFax allows faxes to be simultaneously sent and
received on two B-channels at up to 14,400 bit/s. The con-
troller A1 PCMCIA signals like a Group 3 fax machine.
The following fax protocols are supported:
l V.17 (14,400 bit/s)
l G3 Annex A (colored faxes)
8.6 CAPI SoftModem
The CAPI SoftModem allows connections to be established
to analog remote partners connected to the telephone net-
work by modem. Data connections of up 14,400 bit/s can be
operated on the basis of this modem emulation.
