6.3 Changing the Settings
Once installation is complete, you can make the following
changes to the Controller A1 PCMCIA settings:
l D-channel protocol (DSS1,1TR6, ESS5, NI1)
l I/O address
l interrupt
l activating automatic data compression (CAPI SoftCom-
pression X75/V42bis)
From the AVM program group, call up the A1 PCMCIA Set-
up program and follow the instructions provided.
For more information about CAPI SoftCompression, see
chapter “CAPI SoftCompression X75/V42bis” on page 43.
6.4 Uninstalling the Controller A1 PCMCIA
To uninstall the controller A1 PCMCIA driver software from
Windows NT, proceed as follows:
1. Open the Windows NT Control Panel (via Start / Set-
tings).
2. Double-click the Add/Remove Programs symbol.
3. The list of installed software includes the AVM ISDN-
Controller A1 PCMCIA. Highlight this entry.
4. Click on the Add/Remove... button. The uninstallation
program is started.
5. In the next window, select the controller which you wish
to uninstall and click on Continue.
6. The following window shows the folder in which the as-
sociated driver software is located. Again click on Con-
tinue.
7. To complete uninstallation, you will be prompted to re-
start Windows NT so that the changes can take effect.
When the computer is restarted, uninstallation of the con-
troller A1 PCMCIA is concluded.
