Controller A1 PCMCIA 5 Installing the Driver Software in Windows 95 25
select Yes in the message window. The program A1 PCMCIA
SPID Tool is opened. Enter the desired changes and restart
Windows.

Operation
Loading the Driver Software
If the AVM ISDN-Controller A1 PCMCIA is inserted into the
slot, the controller driver software is loaded automatically
when Windows 95 is started and unloaded automatically
when Windows 95 is closed.
Automatic loading occurs before programs in the Startup
program files are processed. This means that CAPI applica-
tions may included in the Startup folder without any prob-
lems.
Thanks to the Plug and Play functionality of Windows 95, the
drivers are loaded automatically when the ISDN-Controller is
inserted into the slot.
Removing the Controller
To remove the controller from the PCMCIA slot, proceed as
follows:
1. Click the PC card indicator in the task bar with the
mouse.
2. Click on the Stop AVM ISDN-Controller A1 PCMCIA
menu item.
3. A message appears stating that the card can be re-
moved from the slot. Click OK and remove the card
from the slot.
5.4 Changing the Settings
Once installation is complete, you can make the following
changes to the Controller A1 PCMCIA settings:
l D-channel protocol (DSS1, 1TR6, ESS5, NI1)
