12 Controller A1 PCMCIA – 2 Hardware Installation
2 Hardware Installation
Connecting the controller A1 PCMCIA with your PC and the
ISDN network is quite simple:
1. Take out the ISDN cable provided.
Plug the connector (marked with a small blue arrow) in-
to the socket on the PCMCIA card.
2. Connect the other end of the ISDN cable to the ISDN
socket.
To plug the ISDN-Controller A1 PCMCIA into your PC, insert its
contact strip end into the PCMCIA slot until the card is firmly
in place. Thanks to the guide rails on the edges of the card,
there is no danger of installing the card the wrong way
around.
Please note: depending on the operating system used, the
controller A1 PCMCIA must either be plugged in before or af-
ter the PC is booted up. Refer to the appropriate installation
instructions in the following chapters for more information.
Only ever used the PCMCIA slot eject button for removal pur-
poses. Never remove the PCMCIA card by pulling the cable or
plug.
