Setting the Right Standard in the FRITZ!Box
• The standard you configure in the FRITZ!Box must be
compatible with the standards of all WLAN adapters
used in the WLAN.
Make a note of which standards the WLAN adapters in
your network are compatible with and then adjust the
FRITZ!Box settings according to the following information:
• Your radio network integrates only WLAN adapters
that are compatible with one or both of the following
standards:
– 802.11n
– 802.11g
Set the following mode in the FRITZ!Box:
Mode: 802.11n+g
The 2.4-GHz frequency band will be used.
• Your radio network integrates only WLAN adapters
that are compatible with one or both of the following
standards:
– 802.11b
– 802.11g
Set the following mode in the FRITZ!Box:
Mode: 802.11b+g
The 2.4-GHz frequency band will be used.
• Your radio network integrates only WLAN adapters
that are compatible with one or several of the follow-
ing standards:
– 802.11n
– 802.11g
– 802.11b
Set the following mode in the FRITZ!Box:
Mode: 802.11n+g+b
The 2.4-GHz frequency band will be used.
