LTE (Long Term Evolution) is a radio standard specified start-
ing with the 3GPP standard, Release 8. According to the spec-
ification, the FRITZ!Box 6820 LTE is classified as a category
4 UE (User Equipment) device.
Frequency Ranges
FRITZ!Box 6820 LTE supports the following frequency bands
in the LTE mobile communications network:
• 800 MHz: The LTE band 20 is located in this range. This
band is called the “digital dividend” spectrum.
• 1.8 GHz: The LTE band 3 is located in this range.
• 2.6 GHz: The LTE band 7 is located in this range.
• 2.1 GHz: The LTE band 1 is located in this range.
• 900 MHz: The LTE band 8 is located in this range.
• 850 MHz: The LTE band 5 is located in this range.
Channel Bandwidth
Within these frequency bands the FRITZ!Box supports various
channel bandwidths.
The smaller the channel bandwidth, the lower the throughput:
20 MHz up to 150 Mbit/s download
up to 50 Mbit/s upload
15 MHz up to 110 Mbit/s download
up to 40 Mbit/s upload
10 MHz up to 72 Mbit/s download
up to 28 Mbit/s upload
5 MHz up to 36 Mbit/s download
up to 14 Mbit/s upload
3 MHz up to 21 Mbit/s download
up to 8.5 Mbit/s upload
