Picking Up Calls from Another Extension

The call-back request is automatically cleared once the con-
nection has been successfully completed. Such requests are
also cleared by the ISDN provider after a given delay (Deut-
sche Telekom clears the call-back request after 45 minutes).
Only one call-back request may be active at a time.
6.9 Picking Up Calls from Another
Extension
If another extension is ringing and no one answers it, you
can pick up the call at your extension, whether or not you
know the number of the extension ringing. (Please see the
instructions in the file ConfgTel.PDF on the FRITZ!X PC CD for
further details.)
This feature can also be used to take incoming calls that
have already been answered by an answering machine at a
different extension, provided that the “group call” feature is
deactivated and Call Waiting is enabled for the answering
machine’s extension.
To pick up a call from another extension, proceed as follows:
6.10 Group Calls
FRITZ!X PC’s Group Call feature allows you to allows you to
ring all other extensions at the same time. To do so, you
must first obtain the internal dial tone. Your call is connected
with whichever extension is answered first.

Pick up the handset.

Dial the sequence shown to the left.

The call is now connected to your extension, and
you can talk with the caller.

Pick up the handset.

Instead of an extension number, dial “9”. All ex-
tensions that are not busy ring.
