6.3 Call Waiting
Call Waiting can be enabled or disabled for each extension
individually.
The “Call Waiting” feature informs you during a call if a sec-
ond caller is dialing your line. An acoustic signal in your tele-
phone handset notifies you that a second call is waiting. You
can accept the new call within 30 seconds. After this delay
the waiting call is rejected.

Pick up the handset. You can hear the external di-
al tone immediately, since the extension is set for
automatic outside dialing.
R or ss Press the Hold button, or press the Asterisk but-
ton twice. You now hear the internal dial tone

Dial the desired extension number.

Pick up the handset. You hear the internal dial
tone.

Dial the desired extension number.

Dial the sequence shown at left to accept a wait-
ing call.

To return to your original connection, dial the se-
quence shown at left.
You may also switch to the waiting call by ending
your existing connection (i.e., by hanging up the
handset). In this case the phone rings as soon as
you have hung up. Pick up the handset again to
accept the waiting call.

To reject a waiting call, dial the sequence shown
at left.
