This chapter describes the use of features available on

FRITZ!X PC extension telephones. Some of the functions de-

scribed cannot be performed by pulse-dialing telephones.

For details, see the section “Using Pulse-Dialing Telephones

with FRITZ!X PC” on page 59.

The “Hold” button may be designated differently on differ-

ent telephone models (“R”, “Hold”, “Flash” etc.). Please

read the section “Adjusting the Hold Button Function” on

page 58.

6.1 Dialing External Calls

Dialing External Calls with Automatic Outside Dialing

Dialing External Calls with the Outside Line Prefix

Pick up the handset. You can hear the external di-

al tone immediately, since the extension is set to

automatic outside dialing.

Dial the desired external number.

Pick up the handset. You hear the internal dial

tone.

Dial the digit “0”. Now you hear the external dial

tone.

Dial the desired external number.
