the bottom of the “Update” dialog page shows which
firmware version the update file contains.
If the update
file is a later version than the currently active firmware,
it is recommended that you install the update.
5. To do so, click the “Transmit” button.
6. A safety prompt appears. If you are sure you want to
perform the firmware update, confirm the command. If
the firmware version in the update file is the same or
older than the currently active version, you are prompt-
ed again to confirm that you want to install it nonethe-
less.
Do not disconnect FRITZ!X PC from the computer during
a firmware update, and do not unplug the FRITZ!X PC
power cord! If the firmware update is interrupted, your
FRITZ!X PC may become unusable! In that case, repeat
the update procedure.
7. A message appears announcing that the update has
been successfully completed.

This completes the update operation. The “Firmware ver-
sion” panel now shows the new version number.
