One of the dial-in numbers is also used as the outgoing Call-
er ID. The extension’s outgoing Caller ID is the number that
appears in the display of the subscriber called, and in de-
tailed connection charge information. The outgoing Caller ID
can also be deactivated as a dial-in number. In this case, the
number is displayed to subscribers called from the given ex-
tension, but the extension does not ring when the number is
dialed by an outside subscriber.
The outgoing Caller ID is also the MSN to which the exten-
sion’s connection charges are attributed.

Assigning MSNs
To assign MSNs to the extensions, proceed as follows:
1. Have the list of your line’s MSNs handy. You should
have received such a list from your ISDN provider.
2. Select the menu command “Settings” in the “File”
menu of the configuration program’s main window. In
the “Settings” dialog, click the “MSNs” tab.
3. TheMSNs dialog page is divided into sections for
each extension. In the section for “Extension 1”, enter
the numbers to be assigned to this extension line.
4. Click the “Dial-in number” checkbox for each number
that should make Extension 1 ring.
