5 FRITZ!X PC Configuration
The configuration program FRITZ!X makes it easy to configure
your FRITZ!X PC PBX to meet your personal requirements. The
intuitive dialogs in this program can save you the time and
trouble of configuring each setting from an extension tele-
phone.
5.1 Configuration Program Functions
The configuration program FRITZ!X has a number of func-
tions.
Its built-in dialer allows you to dial a connection to an inter-
nal extension or an external telephone line from your com-
puter. For external calls from your analog extensions you can
store up to 40 speed dialing numbers. FRITZ!X provides an
Address Book to help you manage frequently dialed num-
bers, speed dialing numbers and connection parameters.
The Call Journal window displays a detailed list of all outgo-
ing calls with the connection charges for each one, as well as
a summary of the monthly charges for each of the past 12
months.
For detailed information on the “Dialer” and “Call Journal”
functions, please see the configuration program’s on-line
Help.
Select “Settings” in the “File” menu to adjust FRITZ!X PC to
suit your requirements. You can set the following options:
1. Assign Multiple Subscriber Numbers (MSNs) to the ex-
tensions
2. Activate any of several Call Forwarding variants
3. Activate or deactivate Call Waiting for each extension
4. Activate or deactivate the outgoing Caller ID (CLIR)
5. Activate or deactivate incoming Caller ID (CLIP)
