Removing the FRITZ! Communications Software, the
Configuration Program FRITZ!X and the AVM ISDN CAPI Port
Driver
Removal of the FRITZ! communications software deletes the
database files containing your Address Book entries and
other personal settings. If you want to retain these databas-
es, then copy all .dbf files from the FRITZ! installation folder
to another folder before you proceed.
1. Open the Control Panel under “Settings” in the Start
menu and double-click the “Add/Remove Programs”
icon.
2. Select “Change or Remove Programs” in the left portion
of the window. The main panel shows a list of the cor-
rectly installed programs. Select the component you
want to remove, then click the “Change/Remove” but-
ton.
3. Confirm that you want to remove the selected compo-
nent by clicking on “Yes” at the safety prompt.
4. Follow the instructions displayed on the screen. When a
message box informs you that the software has been
successfully removed, close the Change/Remove Pro-
grams applet by clicking “OK”.
Removing the Driver Software for the AVM ISDN-Connector
FRITZ!X PC
1. Open the Control Panel under “Settings” in the Start
menu and double-click the “Add/Remove Hardware
icon.
2. The Windows 2000 Hardware Wizard starts. Click “Con-
tinue”.
3. In the next dialog, select “Uninstall a device” and con-
firm by clicking “Continue”.
4. The next dialog displays a list of the hardware compo-
nents installed in the computer. Select the driver to be
removed and confirm your selection by clicking “Contin-
ue”
