Windows’ Dial-Up Networking. For more information on
the various modems, click a modem in the list and then
press “F1”.
2. On the “Ports” dialog page you can assign the selected
virtual modems to communication ports. Unless your
system requires special port settings, you can simply
confirm the default selections.
3. On the “AVM Test connection/Fast Internet over ISDN”
dialog page, you may specify that the CAPI Port Driver
Setup program should create two new Dial-Up Network-
ing connections, “AVM Fast Internet” and “AVM Intra-
net”. Note that Dial-Up Networking must already be in-
stalled on your computer.
Installing the FRITZ!X Configuration Software
Now you may install the FRITZ!X configuration software as
follows:
1. After the installation of the FRITZ! communications soft-
ware and the ISDN CAPI Port Driver has been complet-
ed, a message box informs you that the configuration
program for your FRITZ!X PC can now be installed. Click
the “Continue” button to proceed.
2. Specify the folder in which the FRITZ!X configuration
software is to be installed on your computer.
3. Next, specify the program group in which the configura-
tion program FRITZ!X is to appear in the Start menu.
4. In the next dialog, enter the area code of your ISDN line
and confirm by clicking “Continue”. The program files
are now copied to your hard disk.
5. Click “Exit” to close the Setup program.
This completes the software installation for FRITZ!X PC. Re-
start your computer.
