2.2 Cable Connections
To connect the necessary cables for your FRITZ!X PC, proceed
as follows:
1. Position your FRITZ!X PC so that the sockets on the back
panel are facing you.
2. To connect FRITZ!X PC to the ISDN line, take the ISDN
cable with an RJ45 plug at each end from the package.
Plug one end into the jack labeled “ISDN” at the right
end of the FRITZ!X PC connector panel. Plug the other
end into the S
0
jack of your ISDN line.
3. Take the serial cable with the nine-pin sub-D connector
at each end. Connect one end to the V.24 socket la-
beled “SERIAL” on the FRITZ!X PC connector panel. Con-
nect the other end to an available serial interface (COM
port) on your PC.
4. To connect FRITZ!X PC’s power supply, take the AC pow-
er adapter from the package. Insert its RJ45 plug in the
jack labeled “POWER” at the left end of the FRITZ!X PC
connector panel. Plug the other end into an AC power
outlet.
Now observe the LEDs on your FRITZ!X PC. The green “Power”
LED should light up, indicating that FRITZ!X PC is operation-
al.
FRITZ!X PC is ready for operation.
Upon completion of the hardware installation, FRITZ!X PC’s
default factory configuration settings are active. To configure
your FRITZ!X PC according to your personal requirements,
please see the chapter “FRITZ!X PC Configuration” on
page 37.
