4.2 Configuring FRITZ!Box Fon WLAN for
Internet Telephony and Calls on Fixed
Lines
This chapter describes how to set up FRITZ!Box Fon WLAN for
telephone connections over the Internet and for calls using
the fixed-line network. For this setup, perform the following
steps:
z Enter account information and Internet number for In-
ternet telephony
z Enter numbers for calls over fixed lines
z Assign Internet and fixed-line numbers to the connect-
ed terminal devices (the extensions “FON1” and
“FON2” on FRITZ!Box Fon WLAN)
z Define dialing rules for Internet telephony and calls on
fixed lines
Entering Account Information and Internet
Number for Internet Telephony
If you have configured an Internet connection and already
entered your information for Internet telephony, the follow-
ing steps are only required if you would like to set up a sec-
ond Internet number.
1. Open the FRITZ!Box Fon WLAN user interface.
2. Click the “Internet Telephony” command in the “Tele-
phony” menu.
3. Click on the button “New Internet Number”, enable the
option “Use Internet Number” and enter the Internet
number and account information you received from
your Internet telephony provider.
4. Click the “Apply” button.
