4 Configuring FRITZ!Box Fon WLAN
for Telephone Connections
The PBX FRITZ!Box Fon WLAN offers convenient options for
making phone calls using the fixed-line network and Internet
telephony. This chapter describes how to configure the PBX
for your telephony needs in the FRITZ!Box Fon WLAN user in-
terface by means of your Internet browser.
4.1 Making Phone Calls with FRITZ!Box
Fon WLAN
FRITZ!Box Fon WLAN is configured so that you can use it im-
mediately for telephone connections to the fixed-line net-
work on ISDN and analog lines after connecting it to analog
devices without making any further settings. The following
basic settings are configured at the PBX extensions:
z incoming calls can be accepted at both extensions;
connected terminal devices will ring at the same time
z outgoing calls can be conducted from both extensions
If you would like to use the features and convenient func-
tions of FRITZ!Box Fon WLAN on an ISDN line and make
phone calls with FRITZ!Box Fon WLAN over the Internet on the
DSL line, you must configure the PBX in the FRITZ!Box Fon
WLAN user interface. Please see the instructions in the sec-
tion “Configuring FRITZ!Box Fon WLAN for Internet Telephony
and Calls on Fixed Lines” from page 45.
