Connecting FRITZ!Box Fon WLAN to the LAN
Port of a Computer
You will need the red LAN cable for this step.
Connecting FRITZ!Box Fon WLAN to a computer’s network adapter
1. Once the FRITZ!Box Fon WLAN has been connected to
the power mains and DSL as described on page 17,
switch on your computer.
2. If you work with a Linux operating system, use YaST to
configure your network card with the setting “DHCP”, if
this setting is not already configured.
3. Insert one end of the red LAN cable to the computer’s
network adapter.
4. Connect the other end of the LAN cable to the socket on
FRITZ!Box Fon WLAN labeled “LAN”.
5. Please see the instructions in the section “Opening the
User Interface” on page 38.
No additional driver installation is necessary on the computer.
