Settings for Telephony Devices
Telephony equipment like telephones, faxes and answer-
ing machines can be connected to the FRITZ!Box. The “Con-
figure Telephony Devices” Wizard can assist you in config-
uring the necessary settings for all telephony devices.
Devices Connected to
the FRITZ!Box
 Telephone
– kind of connection used to connect the telephone
with the FRITZ!Box
– internal name for the telephone
– number used to conduct outgoing calls: With this
entry you specify whether outgoing calls should
be conducted via the Internet or the fixed-line net-
work.
– Call acceptance: Specify here whether the tele-
phone should react to all calls or only to calls for
certain telephone numbers.
 Fax machine
– Kind of connection used to connect the fax
machine with the FRITZ!Box
– internal name for the fax machine
– Number used to send faxes: This entry defines
whether outgoing faxes are sent via the Internet
or the fixed-line network.
– Call acceptance: Here you define the numbers to
which the fax machine should react.
 Answering machine
– Kind of connection used to connect the answering
machine with the FRITZ!Box.
– internal name for the answering machine
– Call acceptance: Enter here whether the answer-
ing machine should react to all calls or only to
calls for certain numbers.
