ISDN-Controller B1 PCI v4.0 – 14 Troubleshooting 73
z
Are all the pertinent services (for data connections)
available and enabled at your PBX?
z Did you specify the correct D-channel protocol for your
ISDN line when installing the ISDN-Controller software?
Lines installed in Europe after 1994 are generally DSS1
lines (Euro-ISDN lines).
Problems during operation of the ISDN-Controller:
If problems occur during operation, run the program “B1
Test” (Windows Me, Windows NT, Windows 98, Windows 95)
located in the “AVM” program group or in the folder of your
driver software on the installation CD. This program performs
functional tests of the ISDN-Controller’s components and
displays the results.
If “B1 Test” reports no malfunctions in the ISDN-Controller
hardware, attempt a test connection to the AVM Data Call
Center. You may do so using the program Connect32 (Win-
dows XP, Me, 2000, 98, NT, 95) or Connect2 (MS-DOS) which
are among the AVM ISDN-Tools included with delivery of your
ISDN-Controller. The number is: +49 (0)30 / 39 98 43 00.
After you have run the diagnostic program “B1 Test”, the
CAPI interface is no longer available (error message:
COMMON-ISDN-API Version 2.0 is not installed).
Load the AVM ISDN-Controller B1 PCI v4.0 once again by run-
ning the appropriate program for your operating system,
such as IBASE.BAT in DOS or B1 LOAD in Windows 98/NT/95.
Applications like CONNECT32 are unable to connect to
analog dial-in ports.
Only connections to ISDN remote systems are possible with
your ISDN-Controller. With appropriate software such as
FRITZ!fax, for example, you can connect to Group 3 (analog)
fax machines.
