Windows 2000
Proceed as follows to configure the ISDN-Controller B1 PCI
v4.0 for a point-to-point BRI:
1. Select “Start / Settings / Control Panel / System”. On
the “Hardware” dialog page, click the “Device Manag-
er...” button.
2. Click the plus sign “+” next to “Network adapters” to
expand the node.
3. Click the entry “AVM ISDN-Controller B1 PCI” with the
right mouse button.
4. Click the “Properties” command and select the “Ad-
vanced” page.
5. On this page activate the option “Enable Support for
ISDN point-to-point BRI (with direct-dial capability
[DDI])”.
6. Confirm your choices by clicking “OK”.
7. Restart your computer to implement this setting.
Windows NT 4.0 Server/Workstation
The “B1 Server Edition” developed especially for the AVM
products Network Distributed ISDN for Windows 2000/NT
and AVM MultiProtocol Router for Windows 2000/NT pro-
vides for easy configuration over a selection menu. This set-
up can be obtained free of charge from the CARDWARE\
SERVER.B1 folder on the ADC or via the Internet at
www.avm.de/en
The “B1 Server Edition” can, of course, be used for all other
CAPI applications.
In Windows Me/98/95 and OS/2
Perform the standard installation for your operating system
and exchange one single component of the driver. All neces-
sary components and information are contained in the folder
CARDWARE\B1_PCI\X_MISC on the ISDN-Controller B1 PCI
v4.0 installation CD.
