Removing the ISDN-Controller B1 PCI v4.0
ISDN-Controller B1 PCI v4.0 – 9 Installation in Linux 51
If using the ISDN-Controller B1 PCI v4.0 with the AVM ISDN-
Controller C4, note that the ISDN-Controller C4 consists of
four separate logical ISDN-Controllers (numbers 1 through 4).
This means that whenever the ISDN-Controller B1 PCI v4.0 is
installed in a system with an ISDN-Controller C4, the ISDN-
Controller B1 PCI v4.0 is addressed by the CAPI applications
(like CAPI4HylaFAX) as CAPI controller number 5.
Only CAPI applications which can be configured for multiple
ISDN-Controllers can be used. The CAPI4HylaFAX module and
the CAPI plug-in allow configuration for multiple controllers.
9.4 Removing the ISDN-Controller B1 PCI
v4.0
For uninstallation of the ISDN-Controller B1 PCI v4.0, the
YaST2 Control Center is used in versions SUSE Linux 8.1 and
higher. Perform the following steps:
1. Exit all CAPI applications.
2. Open the YaST2 Control Center.
System administration rights (root privileges) are nec-
essary in order to remove the AVM ISDN-Controller B1
PCI v4.0. If you are not already logged in as “root”, i.e.
as “Superuser”, then you must provide the “root” pass-
word in the following dialog.
3. In the YaST2 Control Center, select “ISDN” under “Net-
work Devices”.
4. Under “ISDN cards configuration”, select “Already con-
figured devices” and click “Change...”.
5. In the following “ISDN configuration overview” dialog,
select the ISDN-Controller B1 PCI v4.0, click “Delete”
and confirm by clicking “Finish”.
This concludes the uninstallation of the AVM ISDN-Controller
B1 PCI v4.0.
