FLEXIBLE
FORMATTING
Flexible Formatting is used when you are
creating a new format. This powerful
feature allows you to set up your
projectors in any way and then to lay
them out on the video screen in the same
physical manner so that your video
screen reflects the actual projector
setup when looked at from the back. You
are given a 54 position grid in which to
place your 15 projectors. This means
you are allowed nine screens per Bank
and six projectors per screen. It does
not mean that you are allowed a total of
54 projectors, just 54 places in which
to choose the placement of
15
projectors.
When formatting, you must name the DOVE
X
and the projector, e.g.: lA, 2B, 3B,
4C,
5C,
etc.
You may format vertically, horizontally,
or randomly; remember, however, that
what you are looking
at
on the screen
is
the same as if you were looking at
a
rear view of the projectors. Refer to
Paragraph 3.4.2 for sample formats.
