PREINSTALLATION INFORMATION
FIRST THINGS BEFORE SENDING DOCUMENTS VIA FAXESS LAN
FAX SERVICE
1. Please install the FaXess software (optional) onto your fax server.
Refer to the supplied user manual on how to install the FaXess
properly onto your fax server.
2. Install a modem on your fax server.
3. Connect the telephone line on the modem.
4. Press the “Menu” button on the Control Panel and choose
“Administrator” and fill in the “Fax Def. From” field with the
e-mail address of your FaXess LAN fax server. (For the correct
e-mail address, please contact your system administrator.)
FIRST THINGS BEFORE SENDING DOCUMENTS VIA FAX MODULE
1. Please install the fax modem on the modem slot at the rear of
the machine. (See Chapter 2)
2. Plug one end of the telephone line cable into the “RJ-11”
telephone jack supplied by the telephone company and the other
end into the “LINE” jack of the fax modem. (See Chapter 2)
