hin the specified timeout period, if you load your
document to the feeder, the scanner starts scanning
automatically.
2 If your scanner has a flatbed option and you place your
paper on the flatbed, after the timeout period, you need
to click the Scan button on the TWAIN user interface to
start scanning.
Paper Protection
This function puts users at ease with its ability to protect
valuable documents by immediately stopping the scanning
process when it detects a page is skewed to avoid a possible
paper jam. Check to enable this function.
When a skewed page is detected, the scan will stop and a
warning message will be prompted. Click “OK” to close the
warning dialog box. Arrange your document and rescan to
complete your job. Note: The availability of this feature
varies based on your scanner model.
Paperweight
Click to enable this function. This function is used to enhance
document feeding capability to reduce the risk of a skewed
document or a paper jam. This feature is particularly useful
when a mixture of different sizes of document is being fed into
the auto document feeder.
However, if this feature is enabled, to insert more pages to the
auto document feeder while scanning is not allowed. Note: The
availability of this feature varies based on your scanner
model.
