5.1 Internet Filter
Avira WebProtector works on the basis of the largest URL database. This filtering list is
updated daily with the most recent methods of website analysis. The classification of
websites contains 62 categories and it currently supports text analysis on contents in
eleven languages: English, German, French, Italian, Spanish, Russian, Czech, Polish,
Swedish, Dutch and Greek.
With Avira WebProtector you can block or allow access to individual categories.
The Default filter should have the highest restriction in the filter set, as it applies to all
unregistered users and also outside your time settings.
The following example shows you how to create filter sets: You can create other filter
sets in the same way. The set of rules in this example blocks the categories Pornography
and Criminal Activities. We allocate this example to an Example user in Chapter Users.
The following settings can be made only as Administrator!
f Right-click the tray icon on the right of the task bar.
f Select Settings... and then Administrator giving your password.
 The Avira WebProtector configuration opens.
