5.1.3 Tray icon
After installation, you will see the AntiVir Professional tray icon in the system tray of the
taskbar:
Icon Description
AntiVir Guard is enabled and the Firewall is enabled
AntiVir Guard is disabled and the Firewall is disabled
The tray icon displays the status of the AntiVir Guard service.
Central functions of Avira AntiVir Professional can be quickly accessed via the context
menu of the tray icon. To open the context menu, click on the tray icon with the right-
hand mouse button.
Entries in the context menu
– Activate AntiVir Guard: Enables or disables Avira AntiVir Guard.
– Firewall:
– Enable Firewall: enables/disables the Firewall
– Block all traffic: Enabled: Blocks all data transfers except transfers to the host
computer system (Local Host/IP 127.0.0.1).
– Enable game mode: Enables or disables the mode:
Enabled: When activated, all defined adapter and application rules apply.
Applications for which no rule is defined are permitted network access and no
pop-up window is opened.
– Start AntiVir: Opens the Avira AntiVir Professional Control Center.
