2.3 System requirements
Avira Server Security has the following requirements for successful use of the Avira Server
Security service and the Avira Server Security Console:
Operating system
Avira Server Security Console
Windows XP, newest SP (32 or 64 bit) or
Windows 7, newest SP (32 or 64 bit) or
Avira Server Security Console is a snap-in of the Microsoft Management Console
(MMC). On 64-bit operating systems, you can create an MMC snap-in only by using
the MMC for 32-bit applications.
Avira Server Security service:
Windows Server 2008, newest SP (32 or 64 bit)
Windows Server 2008 R2, newest SP (64 bit only)
Windows Small Business Server 2011 (64 bit only)
Windows Server 2012
Windows Server 2012 R2
Hardware
Computer with Pentium processor or later, at least 1 GHz
At least 150 MB of free hard disk memory space (more if using quarantine for temporary
storage)
At least 1024 MB RAM (dedicated to Avira Server Security only) under Windows Vista,
Windows 7, Windows Server 2008 and Windows Server 2008 R2
