7 Confirm the record level. A conservative re-
cording level is best for live recordings. Try to
keep record level peaks in Pro Tools to between
–3 dB to –6 dB. Adjusting the fader in Pro Tools
will not affect the record level, only the monitor
level.
8 In the Edit window toolbar, or in the Transport
window (
Window > Transport) click the Record
button to arm the Transport.
9 When you are ready to start recording, click
Play or press the Spacebar. To stop recording,
press the Spacebar or click Stop.
