Changing the Number of MADI Channels
The MADI ports on the DSP Line Cards are set at the factory to 56 channels. To connect to a 64-channel device, the Line Card
settings can be changed in the Control Panel.
To change the number of MADI channels:
1 Display the Control Panel (see preceding page).
2 Select the DF66 tab.
3 Select ID1 then click the Properties button.
4 Click the MADI tab.
5 Find the port on the Line Card that the 64-channel MADI device is connected to, and change its setting to 64.
6 Click Apply to affect the change.
7 Click OK to exit the dialog.
8 If the system has a backup DF66 core, select ID1-A from the DF66 tab.
9 Click the Properties button.
10 Click the MADI tab and repeat steps 5–7.
To change to a Mixer Model not displayed in the eMix System Window, exit eMix and run the MMPass application (accessible
from the Desktop). From the MMPass program, you can enable a Mixer Model so it shows up in the eMix System Window. You
can also activate a Mixer Model so it becomes the active Mixer Model when eMix relaunches. We recommend selecting a Mixer
Model that matches your DSP hardware configuration.
DF66 Properties MADI tab
Changing the MADI channel setting on a Line Card affects its MADI ports in pairs. 56-channel MADI devices, such as the FC726
Format Converter, are not compatible with the Line Card at its 64-channel setting. This operation reboots the DSP Pilot app. If
eMix is running, it will restart to synchronize.
