Chapter 15: Hybrid Pilot and System 5 Fusion
Options
The Hybrid option supports controlling EUCON-enabled workstations from the System 5 control surface. It requires a SC254H
Pilot computer and is appropriate for larger applications that use a separate DF66 or DF70 to handle DSP.
The Fusion option uses the SC264D System computer to perform system DSP (up to two cards installed), and run eMix and the
Hybrid software. The Fusion option is appropriate for smaller Mixer Models (i.e., 128 channels for post systems, 116 for music,
76 for broadcast).
To access Hybrid and Fusion workstations:
1 Press the Main Panel key.
2 Press the EUCON key.
3 Press the Setup key.
A list of available workstations on your network is displayed. The CM401T’s Quick Access Panel can set each workstation to cor-
respond to a specific DVI port on your switch, or reorder the workstations.
4 Hold down the desired Quick Access key, and select a workstation.
The workstation automatically realigns to that slot. The sub-panel currently supports five workstations.
5 Press the Back key.
6 If channels are not displayed, press the Chan key at the bottom of the panel.
7 Toggle between the DAW channels and smart keys by pressing the chan/smrt key on the bottom of the panel.
If you attempt to connect to a workstation and the Main Panel workstation key flashes, the workstation is available, but the DAW
application is either not running or not in focus. Start the application or switch to it, and try to connect again.
If the Hybrid system is busy, a message appears on the CM401T Main Panel. The Main menu is still accessible during this time.
Hybrid CM403 Joysticks
Assign a channel to the joystick with the same key strokes used to assign a channel to a strip (see page 63).
To assign stereo channels to the joystick:
1 Press the Wave key twice quickly (within 2.5 s) to assign the same channel to both joysticks.
2 Press the up arrow on the right joystick to select the right panner.
