Chapter 13: GPI/O Event System 153
Chapter 13: GPI/O Event System
The event system can program useful System 5 features such as:
• Use a fader to start a cart machine or turn speakers on/off.
• Turn a channel on/off in response to a camera turning on/off.
An event consists of a set of input conditions governed by a logical operator that determines the output condition. Inputs can
be surface parameters (i.e., channel on, fader, etc.) or external inputs via the TT002. Outputs can be System 5 parameters or ex-
ternal outputs via the TT002.
The TT002 provides 32 GPIOs on two 37-pin DC-type connectors. The GP inputs are opto-isolated, and the GP outputs are relays.
See the System 5 Installation Guide for GPIO pin-out information. Two TT002 cards can be used for 64 GPIOs, but only one can
work as a machine controller. The TT002 is shipped with all systems, but many events do not require it.
