Chapter 2: SC264 Features Front Panel SC264 Front Panel Front Panel Elements Status Module Power Switch and Status Indicators See Status Module below. Software Status Indicator The blue wave icon in the Euphonix logo lights up to indicate the software in the SC264 is operating correctly. Detail of Status Module on Front Panel System Reset Switch Forces a manual reset of the SC264. Alarm Cancel Switch Cancels the audible hardware fault alarm.
Back Panel SC264 Back Panel 1. VGA Connector (DA-15) 11 SNMP LAN Port (RJ45) Main video monitor connection. Connect this port to a network with SNMP monitoring or e-mail services to enable the hardware monitoring system to report errors. 2. Keyboard (PS/2) Main keyboard connection. 3. Mouse (PS/2) Main trackball connection. 4. Serial Port 1 (DE-9) • Com1: not used. • Com2: wired internally to the SNMP board's Com port. 12. USB Ports Connect the USB MIDI Interface to one of these ports.
Connecting the SC264 Connect the machine room KVM extender (transmitter end) to the VGA, keyboard, and mouse connectors on the back panel of the SC264. A second KVM extender (receiver end) should be installed at the control surface, close to where the Emix monitor, keyboard and mouse are to be located. MaxAir systems have the receiver end inside the CM404. The KVM extenders are connected by a single CAT5 cable built into the console Ethernet harness (provided).
