Power Cord Speciļ¬cations
Choose the power cord according to the country 
destination; it must comply with local safety re-
quirements. Use the guidelines in the following 
sections to replace the original power cord. 
CEE-22 Power Cord Requirements
The female receptacle of the cord set, shown in 
Figure 30, must comply with CEE-22 require-
ments. 
United States and Canada Power 
Cord Requirements
In the United States and Canada, the male plug 
is a NEMA 5-15P style and is UL listed and CSA 
certified (Figure 31). SVT cord can be used with 
desktop or stackable units; all other equipment 
requires SJT cord. Only SJT-type cord sets can be 
used for units that rest on the floor. 
Select the cord set according to the current rat-
ing of your unit. See Table 5 for the selection cri-
teria for power cords in the United States and 
Canada.
