Folddown/Metering
Metering
The Metering sections allows for dedicated pre-fader signals to be routed to any available Hardware O/P’s.
To patch an O/P destination: select the desired Hardware O/P in the desired patch cell.
The metering O/P’s follow the Source selection of their respective SMP O/P feeds in the Main tab.
Folddown
This section allows for custom Folddown (down-mixing) rules to be defined.
The Folddown rules are applied by SMP2 at anytime that the I/P source format is wider than the currently selected monitor O/P
format.
Format In / Format Out
The selected I/P Format will be down-mixed to the selected O/P Format based on the settings defined in the Folddown Matrix.
Folddown Matrix
The X-Axis (horizontal) denotes the available O/P channels in the selected O/P Format.
The Y-Axis (vertical) denotes the incoming channels of the selected I/P Format.
Folddown values (in dB) can be entered in white cells to define the rules for the currently selected Folddown Matrix. To save the
current set of folddown rules, press the Submit button.
